Random Thoughts: Reasons Why Sara Bareilles and Adam Levine Should Totally Get Together

Sara Bareilles and Adam Levine? I ship it.

P.S. Adam's currently engaged married to Behati Prinsloo, so this post is obviously not intended to be serious. Maybe in an alternate universe, Adam and Sara could be together. :P

1. They are close friends.

Sara met Adam when she was in college at UCLA, and the two have been in touch ever since then. They tweet each other, help each other, joke around together... and are just great friends!

2. They both started their musical careers around the same time.

Sara knew Adam back in the day when his band was called Kara's Flowers instead of Maroon 5. They even competed against each other in the annual student concert UCLA Spring Sing in 2000. (Sara beat them.)

3. They've toured together... multiple times!

In late 2007, Sara opened for several shows on Maroon 5's It Won't Be Soon Before Long tour. Then, in fall 2008, Sara toured with Counting Crows and Maroon 5. Sara also toured Europe and parts of Asia and Australia with Maroon 5 throughout spring 2011.

4. They help each other with their music.

In late 2010 as Maroon 5 was touring in promotion for their Hands All Over album, Sara contributed to the female vocals (originally belonging to Lady Antebellum) for the song "Out Of Goodbyes." (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34TjnhhkVJQ)

5. They both can play multiple musical instruments.

    

In addition to singing, Adam can play the guitar, piano, bass, and drums. Sara can play the guitar, piano, ukulele, and harmonium.

6. They are the same age.

Well, Adam is actually slightly older. He was born on March 18, 1979, while Sara was born on December 7, 1979.

7. They often refer to each other's songs in their lyrics.

For example, in "Love Song," Sara sings: "The breathing gets harder, even I know that" which could refer to Adam's song "Harder To Breathe." And in "Payphone," Adam sings: "One more stupid love song, I'll be sick" which could refer to Sara's "Love Song."

Also, Maroon 5 has a song on their newest album V called "Leaving California" which is about a partner who leaves California. And Sara has a song on her newest album The Blessed Unrest called "Manhattan" which is about her boyfriend who stays in California when she moves to NYC. Coincidence?

8. Sara gets some beauty inspiration from Behati Prinsloo, Adam's current fiancée wife. 

Sara's braided hairstyle at the 2014 Grammys was inspired by Behati's braids. They were even done by the same stylist! Maybe she wants to catch Adam's attention... ;)
