Song of The Week: "Enchanted"

Song of The Week: "Enchanted" by Taylor Swift

This "enchanting" song comes off of Taylor Swift's 2010 album Speak Now (which, in my opinion, is her best album). It's a pretty ballad that tells a story about a girl who's wondering whether a guy loves her. Taylor's voice is perfect for this style of song. I wish she'd continue making songs like these instead of all the pop stuff she's singing now.

Song of The Week: "Ain't It Fun"

Song of The Week: "Ain't It Fun" by Paramore

This song is the latest single from the band's self-titled album Paramore. The funk and soul influences in this song make it very upbeat and catchy - an ironic contrast to the song's sarcastic and mocking lyrics. Overall, it has a unique sound that's different than the typical pop/rock jams that are played on the radio.

**UPDATE: They just came out with the music video for this song! (Watch it above.) It features the most world records broken in a music video. That's pretty cool.

Top 10: Kelly Clarkson Songs

Here is a list of what I think are the best Kelly Clarkson songs (so far)! I will probably post a longer list, ranking all of her released songs, some time later in the year.

10. "I Want You" - All I Ever Wanted

Two words: SO CATCHY.

9. "Catch My Breath" - Greatest Hits: Chapter One

An upbeat song with meaningful lyrics that shows off Kelly's amazing vocal range!

Reasons That Sara Bareilles Should Win A Grammy (Or Two!)

Sara Bareilles is nominated for a Grammy in two categories this year!

Album Of The Year
"The Blessed Unrest" — Sara Bareilles
"Random Access Memories" — Daft Punk
"Good Kid, M.A.A.D City" — Kendrick Lamar
"The Heist" — Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
"Red" — Taylor Swift

Best Pop Solo Performance
"Brave" — Sara Bareilles
"Royals" — Lorde
"When I Was Your Man" — Bruno Mars
"Roar" — Katy Perry
"Mirrors" — Justin Timberlake

Sara should totally win a Grammy this year! She's a talented songwriter, singer, and musician, and her songs (especially "Brave") contain empowering positive messages. There are so many more reasons why she deserves the Grammy this year, so check out the article below (written by another Sara Bareilles fan, not me):

Song of The Week: "Come Round Soon"

Song of the Week: "Come Round Soon" by Sara Bareilles

Live version:
This bluesy song comes off of Sara Bareilles' first album, Little Voice. It is presumed to be written about how Sara was expecting her father to return to her family after a divorce. The song reveals her vulnerable side, but also has some bits of sassiness (such as the second verse). And, the high note after the bridge is just amazing (especially in the live version!)

Song of The Week: "Winter Dreams"

Song of the Week: "Winter Dreams (Brandon's Song)" by Kelly Clarkson

Sure, Christmas may be over, but that doesn't mean we can't keep listening to Christmas songs! "Winter Dreams," off of Kelly Clarkson's Christmas album Wrapped In Red, seems more like a love song than a holiday song, which makes it great to listen to even when 'tis not the season! Kelly wrote this song for Brandon Blackstock, the love of her life with whom she recently married... And if the lyrics reflect her real-life relationship with Brandon, then this story-in-a-song is one of the sweetest I've ever heard.
