Song of the Week: "Eden"

~ Every Sunday, I'll post a Song of the Week. (This week is an exception since I just made this blog today!) The song may be a new release, or an old favorite, or just something that was stuck in my head over the past few days. Either way, it'll be a glimpse into the type of music that I think is worth listening to. :)

Song of the Week: "Eden" by Sara Bareilles

This song, off of Sara Bareilles' latest album The Blessed Unrest, is one you can listen to when you're sick of all the generic pop songs being played on the radio. It has an 80's influence and a super catchy beat. (It's been stuck in my head all week!) Plus the lyrics are clever and consistent with the metaphor concerning life in Eden. Definitely one of my favorites from the album.

First Blog Post!

Hello reader!

Chances are you found this blog through my Youtube channel! If that's true, thanks for watching my videos and for being a fellow Kelly Clarkson fan! If not, then you should go check it out by clicking here. I post a lot of videos related to my favorite music artists: Kelly Clarkson, Sara Bareilles, and Maroon 5!

As you can probably tell, I'm a huge fan of Kelly Clarkson. She has one of the best voices in pop music and hasn't gone crazy from the fame. Her songs have empowering and meaningful messages. She fights for creative freedom in the music industry. She uses her amazing talent to perform for charities and genuinely help others in need. She cares about her fans, and she's not afraid to be herself.

I'm a huge advocate of good music and genuine talent. A majority of today's pop artists lack true talent or just sing horrible, meaningless songs; but for some reason they become more popular and make more money than the artists who can actually sing well, write good songs, and play instruments. This just doesn't seem fair. Thus, I made this blog to help spread the word (hopefully!) about pop artists out there who deserve to be recognized for their hard work and true talent.

Keep calm and rock on!
